The above medias and reading material tend to play down "orbs", or tend to make spirit visitation something scary, spooky, and abnormal. Too many of them add the sinister sounding music or Halloween type pictures throughout their presentations and using this subject for entertainment purposes only instead of seeking the truth.
Let's try to debunk some of these things. First of all there are many TV programs now, a lot of which I admittedly watch, but I see so many contradictions and hope after your reading this that you will too.
One of the most famous TV shows, and I personally think is the best, goes at it from the angle of trying to disprove visitations. This is a healthy way to start. One must first disprove the normal sounds, lighting, shadows, etc. before you can prove the existence of spiritual energy. Although 100% in agreement with the way they approach the subject, I personally feel they are doing a dis-service in their attitude about orbs. Their conclusions are that all orbs are either dust or balls of energy. Aren't spirits energy? They will trust an EMF detector to prove the existence of energy, but when an orb appears at the same time, it is dismissed as dust.
Let's think about this philosophy. In my 73 years of life, I have never been able to capture an intelligent piece of dust, one that would respond to a question, or appear because I've politely ask it to. On the other hand, I have been able to capture (like many others), orbs that will respond to personal requests. I have been able to walk through the dusty and pollen filled outdoors without getting an EMF spike, but do get high spikes while capturing orbs in the same room, and static from electronics within the room. These "proofs" have been witnessed or heard by others then myself in real time, as well as being captured on video or photographs, all which can be seen in the "Video Activities" or "Albums", which are a part of this site.
Another dis-service being shown is that everyone seems to use infared or thermal imaging which is a smart thing to do because they are the only forms of visuals you can get at night, but that is not to say that spirits just visit at night, but the majority of experiences happen at all hours, day and night. Brilliant orbs have been captured during daylight hours. Recordings have been heard at all different times, electronic visitations and EMF readings are not just spiking in the dark. Again, too many people and programs are using the night and the greenish cast of night vision camcorders for entertainment value only. One must get past this, for it serves no purpose at all except to make visitation appear scary, dangerous and untrue. Is there evil in the spiritual world?
We hear and see so many movies and TV programs of hell, demons, possession, earthbound spirits, residual energy, and other negative activity, but is this true? More and more websites and ghost hunting shows are being directed at us, which this author believes causes a dis-service into the world of spirituality. If we are to believe in divine energy and universal knowedge, a supreme being, then there is no room for evil except in the hearts and mind of the physical realm.
Once we accept the fact that there is so much more then the five senses and three dimensional world we have learned to live in, once we study Quantum Physics, and explore the theory of "Observer" and "Observed", we can no longer hold on to so much of the religious dogma we have been taught. While there is positive and negative, negative does not automatically mean bad or evil, but simple a universal law of working together to create a perfect working universe.
If we are to accept and believe that soul/spirit are energy, then we must also accept the fact that energy is as normal as it gets, and cannot be "earthbound" or limited to certain cemeteries or supposed haunted buildings. The next time you are watching a spooky program about spirits, ask yourself why scary music has to be played, night time scenes are used so much, and why it always seems that the majority of time it is angry, murdered, sadistic spirits that seem to always return to a building or area instead of mom, dad, grandparents, siblings, children, pets, or friends. Energy cannot be confined to night time or certain places, it is dynamic, not static - it is the thing that makes up all things.
We experience what we have learned in our limited capacity as human beings. We fear what we do not understand. Ratings have shown over and over again that humans like scary movies and stories, but this is dangerous, not in a physical way, but that it holds us back from seeking out the truth.
Throughout this site examples have been given that show the contrary despite the increasing interest in what is called the "paranormal". Science and physics is proving the paranormal to be quite the contrary, very "normal" and "natural".
Many religions have added to this "scare" tactic. So as not to offend someone's religion, lets talk about the devil without getting into any one specific religion. This concept actually originated from the pagan God of Fire. We associate hell with fire. We associate the devil as someone or something that tempts us into turning against God and doing wrong. Many centuries ago people were burned at the stake or killed in other horrible ways for practicing or preaching certain beliefs, so they had to write things in a different fashion then what we know today in order to get their point across. They used stories or quatrains in order to spare their lives. Can we replace the term "devil" into "free choice"? Free choice is the tool we in the physical realm use to travel our spiritual journey. This is just one of many dogmas that can lead to confusion and keep us from seeking out the truth as known and proven by modern day technology.
This fear factor not only clouds our reality, but robs us of the comfort in spirit visitation and communication. Since energy cannot be destroyed, once we transition, it is only to a different frequency of energy, and just as we can tap into microwaves, radio waves, the color spectrum, ultrasound, infrasound, we also have the ability at times to tap into the spiritual world and stay connected to those who have transitioned before us.
I am as guilty as everyone else in watching some of these TV programs that are so prevalent now, but one must strive to enjoy, but to be realistic at the same time. To distinguish between entertainment and truth. It is very easy for someone to take a piece of electronic equipment and walk through an area in the dark, that has had unexplained occurrences happen, and to assume these occurrences are something to be fearful of because this is what we have been taught to believe. A dis-service surfaces when these same people have not educated themselves in physics and consciousness. Before we can make a statement we must understand how the human mind works, along with the physical reactions created by the chemistry within our own bodies. We must understand atmospheric conditions, electromagnetic fields, and most important of all, we must understand energy.
Knowing this is going to be controversial, I've decided to include it anyway. So many religions teach that once we transition we go to a paradise, heaven, or hell, but I've never heard of a religion that teaches our spirit/soul may stay earthbound in order to seek revenge, or stay just to play by scaring, scratching, slapping, or pushing people still within the physical realm, or becomes evil in nature - UNLESS they are meaning that being earthbound to do all these things are in fact, "hell", but that is not the impression I've gotten through the years of learning. If paradise or heaven, or whatever term one chooses to believe in is so beautiful, pure, full of light and pure love, then why would anyone want to return to earth to inflict havoc on others? Since spirit/soul are made of divine energy, then there would be only one reason for them to visit and that is to watch over, protect, and visit the people and places they love and to communicate in order to let us know there is a continuation of consciousness after transition.
Fear of Dark
A question arises if the fear of the dark is a learned trait from our ancestors who lived pre-artificial lighting, and in many areas still today, do not have electricity.
From the beginning of mankind, fear originated from animal predators such as lions, tigers, wolves, hyenas, in areas around the world, as well as from snakes, scorpions, and other dangerous creatures. They could for the most part be seen and/or heard in daylight, but darkness was and still is a different story, leading us to dread the night.
Once fire was discovered it helped man see, but it too brought with it the fear of the night. Because homes were often made of cloth, sticks, or with wood and/or thatched roofs, fires were one of the main causes of death according to coroner records dating back as far as they did, and bodies being discovered as villages were built and sites were dug up.
For centuries, religious beliefs rooted the fear of satan/devil as a force of evil to explain death and other conditions that man could not, and it was only in 100 AD that the belief emerged of the devil being somewhat of a physical reality, being able to change shapes into wolves, crows, and other forms that stole into the night to wreak havoc with the sleeping or those weak to his unbridled strength of evil.
In European middle age, fear abounded because of thieves and highway men who would take advantage of the dark to rob and kill the unaware as they lived their day-to-day lives, often traveling at night by foot. In the 15th century, because of the deadly terrain of certain areas, many people fell to their death or injured themselves so they could not get back to their homes, and thieves often used the dark nights to hang their victims or cage them until they starved to death. The innocent people who traveled at night would hear the swinging of the hanged men or the cries or moaning of the caged people and thought these sounds were something evil, the dead coming back to life to seek revenge for their murder, a theory that still is believed today as you watch certain TV programs, movies, websites, and books. It was during this same period of time that grave robbers, the belief in vampires and werewolves came into being, each being a reason to explain man's inhumanity to man.
Because of this fear of the dark, thieves, and fires, people often adapted to a different sleep pattern then modern day man has. They would sleep earlier in the evening, arise around midnight, and then sleep again after their night watch for fire or other dangers. Some people were used to patrol areas to yell out in case of fire or animals came close to their villages. Often family members who remained awake during the night would wander off to visit friends or relatives and would disappear into the marshes, the bodies of water, fell because of the terrain and simply died of starvation or injury, or fell off cliff edges, never to be seen again, and again the darkness and evil was blamed for the incident. Although people with money could afford candles or lanterns, the average person could not and was at the mercy of making it to their destination in complete darkness.
In the 18th century, the Amish settled in the United States, and because of their religious beliefs did and do not use electricity. They fell prey to thieves and burglary in this group of people was five times higher then any other group. Because of their long and hard days of work, it was/is typical for the men to work late into the night, often using lanterns and again causing fires and continuing the fear of the night.
For the most part, artificial lighting has changed our nights, our homes are sturdier except in desert and tropical areas, or in third world countries that are so poor, but the fear of the darkness lives on through certain religious beliefs and our learned fear of night.
If we are to believe that the Creator is all good and created us to bestow all His blessings on, then are we also suppose to believe that he gave us darkness to fear?
People associate darkness with evil, demons, devils, spirits coming back to avenge their tormenters, but demons to us, the writers of this site, see demons as corruption, deceit, deception, fear of the unknown, etc., and often our very own choices of freewill and mankind's egoism in his constant quest for more. Freewill gives us an option to choose our own pathway, to rise above our egoism and to see the truth as it is.
We are spiritual beings made up of divine energy and created and work in accordance to "Universal Law", and within the bounds of energy at the quantum level. We are observers creating our own realities and most of us do not understand that the realities we create are only illusions caused by the restriction of our five sense, three dimensional world and lack of knowledge. "The Truth is Out There", but unless we seek it we live in a world that we do not need to. We are our thoughts, our emotions, our attitudes, our fears, BUT we have the ability to change our "reality" from within our own selves. Below are just a few video clips that explain the truth which allows us to grow beyond what we have learned, were taught as children and throughout our life times. WE ALL HAVE THE ABILITY TO LEARN AND TO GROW IN UNDERSTANDING AND IN FURTHERING OUR SPIRITUAL PATH AS WE AID IN THE UPLIFTING AND CORRECTION OF A WORLD IN CHAOS.
